Compiler Error

Charge up your machines, caffeine up your brains, plug into Spotify and get coding! IEEE DTU presents to you, Compiler Error! Comment out your quarantine boredom with 3 exhilarating rounds of programming. So what are you waiting for? Ready your Codeforces handles and get compiling!

DATE: 30th April and 1st May

OverView

1. 3 rounds, namely A, B, C, each with increasing difficulty.
2. Each round would be of 2 hours, making the total running time of the contest to be that of 6 hours.
3. The platform of choice is going to be Codeforces (the rounds would be held in morning-afternoon slot, to allow time for other events, and also to be away from server-overload problems)
4. Scoring-
   • Easy - 100
   • Medium - 300
   • Hard - 500
5. For in-contest rules, standard rules of Codeforces contest would apply.
6. Each round would have it's own top X placeholders.
7. Results for each round would be revealed within the next 2 hours of round end.
8. Cumulatative results would be revealed after 2 hours of the Round C's results.
9. If a person wins in 2 or more rounds, his entry for hall of placholders would only be counted only ONCE, in such cases the immediate next rankholder who has not made an appearance in the hall of placeholders would be considered.
10. Results would be displayed on the Facebook page within 2 hours after the contest has ended.
11. Links to the rounds would be given a day before the event starts i.e. on 30th.
12. All rounds can be attempted individually by all the participants i.e. there is no pre-reuqisite that must be fulfilled to enter any round.
13. Invitation links for all the rounds would be given 2 hours prior to the said round.

Round Specific instructions:

Round A (30 April: 10:30 - 12:30 )
• 6 questions -> 4 Easy, 2 Medium
• X = 3

Round B (30 April: 14:00 -16:00)
• 4 questions -> 1 Easy, 2 Medium, 1 Difficult
• X = 5

Round C (1 May: 13:00 - 15:00)
• 3 questions -> Difficult ~ Medium
• Scoring for each problem would be hidden in this round (Just for fun :p)
• X = 7

EVENT TYPE: Quiz

Registrations till 1 May, 6pm

EVENT DETAILS:

1. It is necessary for the participants to fill the below given registration form with a valid E-mail ID as the will be receiving the quiz link/ PIN on their E-mail IDs only.
2. The quiz is based on Internet of Things(IoT) and the different aspects of IoT.
3. The quiz will begin on 1st May (7PM) and the link will stay active for only 1/2 hour, i.e. from 7PM to 7:30 PM.
4. It will be necessary for the participants to successfully submit their responses within the above mentioned timespan.
5. The judgement will be done based on the score of the participants, in case of time the the first to submit the response will be given preference over others with the same score.
6. The participants must expect a mail with the Quiz Link/ PIN latest by 1st May (6:55 PM)

Funny, irreverent, witty, bold and often ridiculous, memes make a statement. IEEE DTU is organising memes competition & challenging you to use humour and shed light on the subject of current lockdown/college scenario.

1. Participants have to DM their self-made entries as a Drive Link of .jpg file to us on Facebook along with their name, contact number and the Event Name: "Meme Challenge"
2. The memes should preferably be on current lockdown/ college scenario.
3. Only one meme is allowed per participant. Anything more than that will lead to disqualification.
4. The memes would be posted on our Facebook page and the winner would be decided on the basis of their creativity and reactions on their memes in terms of likes and comments.
5. The deadline for sending memes is 1st May’ 2020, 11:59 PM
